This precious boy is Bandit, a two-year-old Brussels Griffon who is adjusting well to life post-puppy mill. He is affectionate, loves to be held, loves belly rubs, and follows his foster mom around as if he can’t wait to learn more about this nice new world he has entered. Bandit weighs about 10 pounds but is not afraid to take on dogs 10 times his weight. He has a protector streak that shows up as he learns to trust and depend upon you. He took a few days to warm up to the big dogs (50+ pounds) in his foster home, but he likes to hang with them now. Although Bandit isn’t into toys yet, he steals chew toys from the big dogs! How’s that for bold? All in all, though, Bandit is a bit of a couch potato … sometimes wrapped in a blanket or sleeping right up against a person. He sleeps well in a crate overnight, is housetrained, and appears ambivalent about cats. He has not been around children, but since loud noises startle him and he bristles at quick movement nearby that he didn’t expect, we think a home without small children would suit him best, so no applications for homes with children under 10, please.
