Hi, Macy here! I’m 50+ pounds of pure love, although most humans would describe me as a 2- to 3-year-old boxer mix. I came to Canine Soulmates from a municipal shelter, and I didn’t understand why I was there. But life is so good now! My foster mom says I have blossomed in her home. She uses words like “sweetheart” and “calm” and “loyal” to describe me. That’s all good, right? She also says I have nice manners, know several basic commands, and am house-trained and crate-trained. I’m smart and love to learn — especially if a treat is involved. Speaking of treats, when I came to my foster home I was way overweight. Now I’ve lost the extra pounds and really enjoy being able to run and play more easily.
What I really love, above all things, is to be around my people. If given the chance to be petted or to play with another dog, I’ll choose petting any time! I love love love to have my person’s attention.
When I’m not hanging out close to my human, I enjoy running and playing with other four-legged friends. I like all the dogs I’ve met. Big or small, it doesn’t matter to me. One of my favorite things is zooming around the backyard with my foster family’s dog. I think my perfect forever home might have another dog and older children (since I’m on the larger side). My foster mom says these are not “must haves” because she knows I will be a marvelous best friend to anyone who wants to love me. Could you be my new Best Friend Forever?
